Introducing...

myself. Not much to say, except that our lovely moderator invited me aboard a while back and I jumped on. I have not been available to get involved until today, and my computer time waxes and wanes.

I am interested in seeing what this group is like. I tend to be a loner to a large extent as far as magick is concerned, though I am an initiate of the Hellenic mysteries, and many others...and perform large group ritual. Love it, too.

My more every-day ritual is more on the chaos wave-length...not all easily explained, but I work a lot with sigil casting, blood magick, runes paired with cutting, intention setting, and every once in a while a tumble head first into the abyss. For reals. It's happened without bidding since I was young. Not always fun, but usually worth the trip.

I am not a speaker of mathematics, but love chaos theory. Living systems theory also makes a lot of sense to me. Biopsychology, existentialism, anarchism and Neruo-Linguistic programming are all solid building blocks for me.

I know that chaos magick is often about dissembling those blocks, but that is the natural impetus for me. My grasp on "reality" is pretty damn fluid. I have an easy time changing my mind. Really changing it. Like, from the ground up. It's finding ways to maintain my grasp and build some pillars and walls where I need to work. And have worked at it already for years.

I just got back from a better than two weeks road trip, presenting workshops in many major northwestern cities. (If you wanna see what I do you can check out my site at <www.lasara.us>) Away from my home, my kids, my partner for a tour...and when I'm on the road, Chaos always rides shotgun. I am a big fan of The Ride as a spiritual initiation. I leave as one thing, and return as another. So, coming out from under a big wave of chaos, currently.

Thanks for being here.

Rock on, LaSara thanks for posting that! "lovely moderator" gee make me blush why dont you. I'm interested in hearing more about the runes paired with cutting work that you've been doing, what exactly are you working with there?>

I work with the Runic Furthark, and cut the needed - or cast - rune into my forearm. I have used intentional cutting as part of my magickal process/practice since I was in my early 20s, so, better than 10 years. It has aspects of sympathetic magick - healing a metaphysical wound on the physical level - and aspects of Peter Carol's sigil magick.

I always modify and comingle. It is rare that I am true to the forms that are handed to me. I change them around until they fit the best.

I was thinking about doing some ogham cuttings. I really vibe with them as a divination tool. The Norse runes might as well be popsicle sticks for all the use I can get out of them
